I've already gone straight into the 912 forum for some useful angle of attack advice, but thought I should come back and introduce myself.

We've had our 912 since 2005 and have recently got it back out after storing it for around 13 years. A few details:

The glovebox was locked when we bought it and, when we unscrewed the back of it, inside we found an old Howard Hughes Aircraft Company ID card from a previous owner in California. This is quite a nice bit of history, as we are both aerospace engineers too.

The first UK owner had it changed to 1720cc and Webers. After a cold seizure, we rebuilt it with original Porsche parts and Solexes.

The current to-do list is:
swap odd 5 1/2J wheel to a matching deep six and 185/65 and 195/65 tyres to 185/70 all round,
2nd gear syncro,
a bit of welding here and there,
shift some accumulated spare parts (bonnet, transmission, torsion bars and plates, bits of air-con).

Looking forward to some remote chat from our remote location in the Staffordshire Moorlands

Cheers,
Alex
