The Porsche Festival - what was it like?

There was a good selection of trade stands, several special dealers, Roger Bray, Autofarm, Southbound, Forest Fine etc, plus endless polish salesman.

Activities included an off-road course in Cayennes, helicopter rides, go-karts, concours

We won't know how succesful it was until the AGM next year I guess. I thought the format was superb, and those that moaned about the price (myself included, even though I got in free) seem to have thought it good value.

To Nick I bet we were nearly stood next to each other~!? and to Ad I think PCGB will make a nice profit although it wasn't as busy as I thought. Trade stands were dissapointing and the autojumble was none existent. Husbourne Crawley is the place to be.

I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

I would like to thank Phil for organising the early register parking & sending me a pass

& Gavin for suggesting I booked for a 'parade' lap

First time I've had my 911S sideways at 60 in third being followed by a GT3RS .. .. ..
ps Hi to James when he gets back from holiday & Hi to Steve - give me your car?

well i was there and heartened to see so many DDK stickers...although I didnt see the owners/drivers !.........of the cars......... I was especially taken wiith martin's (MdR)911S , the colour looked great.......there was also a lovely very dark blue 73S at the Autofarm stand....all in all it seemed pretty good....nice seeing Keiths 911R outlaw too......

We had a bloody hectic weekend!!! on Rogers stand!
Nice to meet a couple of you guys,I was a little bit disapointed with the club do,but got to say there was some nice motors around,Had an interesting drive back to Exeter in the pale blue cabriolet on our stand thanks to no dip/main beam! soon sorted that though,Under 3 1/2 hours to get back,not bad for a 1958 A cabriolet!
Highlight has got to be seeing Richard Chaimberlins 935 on the track,Jesus is it quick!!!

What did you guys think of our stand? any comments?

Hi Graham

It was good to meet you, although even at 6' 2" I felt short next to you! The RB stand had some very interesting bits and I was surprised at the parts that you can supply, but probably too anoraky for most PCGB owners. I had a look round the Gulf Blue RST and mentioned it on a US BBS. I think someone will be contacting Roger about it V soon

Hell yes! Graham you are one tall geezer, thanks for the insight into Steve's 911S - an amazing amount of work.
I though the RB stand was welcoming & I had good service from Mark(?), although it's unfair of you to display a 914/6 & an RST & the 356s with me having failed in the lottery again

The cars there where very good and the prade laps also very good.
As for the trade stands very poor, car jumble no not one there, having sead that there where some very nice watch stands.
maybe i went to the wrong show
