Ashby Folville - 13th June - Picnic on the Cricket pitch

Post by impmad2000 »

Every 2nd tuesday during the summer, The Carrington Arms in Ashby Folville hold a classic car night, cars start to arrive from about 6:00pm and there is usually everything from 1900 to modern Kits.
The turn out is something to see, cars from every era, and some wild and exotic. Prepare to be "just another 911"
This is a must for every classic car enthusiast, pack up some folding chairs and a small picnic; come and see how the Leicester folk do classic car meets. The Pub usually has a hog roast or something, and drinks of course, but just take the time to wander among the cars.
Lets make the June meet a DDK gathering.
Who's in ?

A quick reminder for those at Ace Cafe last night.
And a nudge for the Northerners... We are promised some of the southern DDK contingent ! See you guys there

Actually, this is about dead centre of the country what about the East and West contingent too :)

This really is an impresive classic car meet, lets see a big turn out

I think Darren is keen on going... me if all goes well I'll be in my 911 otherwise I'll be just another Mustang in the car park.

Hope to see you there Tim. :)

Hi Tim,

If the weather plays ball I should be there, and just you all keep an eye open for the boys in blue, snap, snap, nudge, nudge, no what I mean.

I drove through the village yesterday, lovely place. It'll be a great evening, especially if the weather is as good as it's supposed to be.

Is it held on the village green/cricket ground opposite the pub?
