Another 914 With MoT
After all of the battles recently, I'm glad to report a succesful visit to the MoT man this morning
. In fact he commented on how solid the car was, and the fact that everything was working as it should: just need some sun now

Thanks Roger: yes it's booked in, so assuming it doesn't spread itself up the M1, I'll be there
.
Looking forward to both of the forthcoming V.W. events: really enjoyed V/World last year, and regretted not going to Stanford Hall, so hopefully will do better this year.
Just off to the factors to see whether we can put a service kit together for it: it was missing a bit going down to the MoT. I thought it had drowned during the heavy rain last night, but everything looks pretty dry so hopefully some fresh ignition bits will help. The new Spax adjustables on the front have made a huge difference, so I actually enjoyed the drive down there (including the impromtu water splashes courtesy of above heavy rain), so I think we're getting somewhere at last
.
See you at Stanford

Adam: I actually got them off of E-Bay, at the time the retail for the pair was about £185 (I still had to go to £138 IIRC), and they are described as 'Spax Adjustable T.A.G. 1027-1 Porsche 911/914 FRONT' on the box.
In actual fact, the adjustability is pretty much null and void, as I've backed them right off, and they are still a bit firm: not ridiculous, but I was expecting to have them somewhere near the middle: much better than the one seized and one
'floppy' (
Just need to find a pair of rears now
