I am looking for a very good 964 coupe for a customer - it can be C2 or C4 and ideally RHD, though LHD might also be possible. The only catch is that it has to be a 1989 car. If you know of anything that might fit the bill I would be interested to hear. Best wishes and many thanks, Robert

Lovely-looking car and nice story. Would you know if it is a 1989 base? Best wishes and many thanks for the suggestion, Robert

Probably not because it is C2 based. If I am correct did they not come out until 1990.

It is down as a 1990 car but perhaps it was built late 89? Why does it have to be 89 built?

The customer has an event in mind with a pre-1990 requirement. A bit arbitrary, but them's the rules. We could get into whether it's build or registration, but I sense they would be happier with a 1989. I'm thinking the C2 was a 1990 model year car, so might have been around in late-calendar 1989?

I reckon the customer will do well to find out if it’s reg date or build date. It was recession times so there were lots of 964s built that weren’t registered for many, many months. It could massively increase their chances if it’s build date.

Not selling but my 964 C2 has build date of Sep '89, so they are out there. Mine is LHD delivered new to Maastricht
