Took the car out saturday and the drivers electric window has packed up. Was working fine and when we got into the car park, put it down, then closed it, now it wont go down. It seems to want to do something, you can hear the motor kind of engage and if you hold the switch for very long, it starts to click.
Before stripping the door down, anyone got any odes as to what it could be as it doesnt look a easy job to do

Re: Drivers electric window
Sounds like stiffness in the mechanism. Something may have come loose and the channels it glides in slipped out of line?
Take the door cards off (you’ll have to disconnect the switch and then reconnect it) and have a look inside while flicking the switch

The simple things you see are all complicated

Re: Drivers electric window
From what you have said it sounds unlikely a switch problem, but worth swapping a switch over first before removing all the door cards. Just in case and it only take a few minutes.
