Koni: OPC versus premier dealers
As there's a big price difference between buying Koni's from OPC's and shops, are there any differences in quality or valving?
Today's prices:
Front Koni cartridge
From an OPC, part # PCG.341.903.00 costs £275 plus VAT = £330 each
From a shop like Demon Tweeks part # 86-1947 which is equivalent to the above OPC part # costs £142 plus VAT = £170 each

OPC TAX.
Nothing wrong with demon tweaks.
I bought my koni reds from a smaller trader.
When they needed attention they went back to the UK distributor for the work.
It would be the same wherever you bought them.

Agree.
Had my KONI adjustables for 3 decades, all good, bought from Demon Tweeks.
No leaks, just work. Bit awkward to adjust, but now have them set on mid range, drives great (to me) and keeps the 911 compliance which is so good and makes the 911 drive what it is. imho.

Re: Koni: OPC versus premier dealers
I have a question about the front shock mounts (pic below). The PET catalogue doesn't provide a part number for just the rubber piece, so does it mean if I want to replace the rubber I have to buy the whole thing?
Second question, what is the little spacer (item no. 6) in this diagram, part no. 911.341.615.00 ? (No longer offered)
Was it for USA cars ?

That looks like the steel bush in the middle of the rubber (or poly) bushes. It normally comes with the replacement bush kit.

Re: Koni: OPC versus premier dealers
I bought a used pair of Konis for my 356 from Andy on here, I then sent them to Andy Storar and his team at Leda Suspension for a check up....they tested, approved, and rebushed them, in no time flat for very little money. Andy (Boyle and Storar) is a lovely chap, I'd start by asking Leda, they definitely have the tooling and dyno for 911 Bilsteins......W
