1st mention of Christmas

Post by Ignatzcatz »

Yes it's that time of goodwill to all men except those doing 29mph in a 30 zone; will you just speed up or get out of the f&#kin' way. How I wish Christmas would disappear but I don't think it will, not in my lifetime anyway, however that time of year means one very important thing and that is the Southern DDK Christmas dinner. My thoughts on the matter are regarding venue and the awful problem of parking at Richmond and just getting there is such a pain that may I suggest a move of venue perhaps to the Fairmile which is easy access from the M25/A3 and of course you can PARK there - for free !! I know we have been going to the Orange Tree for a few years but I thought I would make this suggestion as early as possible for deliberation and consideration. Discuss. . .

Parking is free for the Orange Tree (car park off the A316, quick walk through to the OT), but agree the traffic can be an absolute nightmare.

Fairmile is good for me as I’ll drive but what’s it like for those that want to drink & get public transport ?

I know I didn't go in 2019 but for me it would need to be readily accessible by public transport ...
