Porsche 356SC fuel pump

Post by Peter Roberts »

If the diaphragm breaks on these pumps can fuel leak into the sump and mix with the oil?
I have looked at a sectioned view and there does not appear to be a seal on the plunger so i think the answer is yes.

I think there is an 'O' ring on the actuator shaft - I've rebuilt 2 of these last year but I can't recall for sure. This website is very good for general porsche 356 fuel pump info
