I came close to pulling the trigger on this one. It looks to be a nice car with a very full history. Check the full photo gallery.

I saw the Karman one when I visited recently, it really is about as good as you’d find and with 19,000 miles from new.

Hi John,

Keeping fine thanks - hope you are too.

Regret selling the 914 now, as I always do when I've sold my old classics! I had just had my hips replaced & was advised to avoid getting into low slung sports cars, don't do breast stroke, etc., etc., if I wanted to avoid dislocating the new hips. Since then, I've swum breast stroke & got into low slung sports cars with no problems.

The 914 was in quite good nick when I sold it to Helen & i know that she spent a bob or two on it before selling it on. Apparently, she had problems with the fuel injection. (Should have taken it to Crispin Manners in Newton Poppleford - he sorted it for me). I believe the new owner put twin carbs on her - shame!

Onwards & upwards!
