Reluctant Sale, I have had this lovely van for 15 years and have been everywhere in it, I have been and watched the F1 in Italy, driven through the alps, watched Le Mans and been to countless VW shows and music festivals over the years but now need to sell it to move on to my next chapter and buy a house.

The van has been subject to a lot of restoration work over the years. The body was stripped back to reveal any areas that required attention and all of the lower repair panels were replaced including new sills (inner and outer), wheel arches, doors skins, engine lid etc. Any areas of rust found were cut out and replaced at the time before the bus was primed and freshly painted in Manchester red and cream.
The 1641cc air-cooled engine runs smoothly and the gear selection is positive and firm with the added benefit of an Empi quick shifter. The steering arms, bearings and joints have all recently been replaced.

The interior has been completely replaced with the added benefit of having sound deadening installed throughout, the interior consists of: rock and roll bed, electric CRX50 fridge, compact sink with gas hob, slim toilet under chair, double sized DAB/DVD/Bluetooth radio with built in high level flip down screen.
The leisure battery is a compact battery and has a solar panel on the roof that fully charges the system.

There are a few areas that need work and these are: I removed the heat exchangers years ago and my intention was to buy a heater and install it in the main chair in the rear. The front screen is a heated screen but requires wiring to the new fuse box under the dash. The pop top is get old now and the Perspex sheet on the top need to be replaced. All the door setting need tweaking. I painted the van on my drive when I recently repaired the outer panelling and did it by hand, all the layers below were removed need buffering and flatting. Generally with little bit of love this van would be a show stopper and would be on sale for much more.
