'Classic Car Club' BBQ, 'The Fairmile', Cobham, Surrey

Post by Viv_Surby »

Date - Friday 26th August 2005; 19:00 start, BBQ from 20:30

Location: The Fairmile, Cobham, Surrey

The Fairmile have invited us (DDK now being the 20th car club that regularly meet there) to their 'Classic Car Club' BBQ on the above date.

The gathering will be held on their front lawn (see posts from SW London meet previously) which will be floodlit for the occasion. Last year they had nearly 100 cars on display of all makes and vintages. PCGB Region 29 (Surrey) also meet there regularly - it would be nice to outnumber them!!

There will be a large outside bar, 2 barbies, a live band and a David Blaine 'style' magician  (a guy in a perpex box???).

The cost is £4 per person (which I think covers cost of food - but I will check[confirmed - it does :) ]).

I have heard from clubs I have been a member of in the past that this is a great evening.....I know it's the Friday of the B/H, it would be nice to see a big display of early Porsches 8) . A nice warm up for the Brands Hatch meeting??!!

Please let me know by 21 August so I can book us in.

Viv

Getting married the next day and will be having dinner with the parents/in-laws. Don't think I'd be particularly popular if I scooted off in the Porsche  :P

Yeah quite......I'm sure Bootsy can drag out the relevant clause out of club rules which involves beverages and inappropriate behaviour!!
