986S Boxster

Post by dogbower »

I bought this 986s in the summer for my better half, as we were missing the 911.

Now Porsche are restoring these, they can only shoot up in value.

Although she loved it when the sun was out, now she wants a change, found the replacement today, so its up for sale.

2000 reg, 986S, in silver with black roof, black leather interior, electric windows/mirrors, 18" staggered split wheels, 95,000 miles but going up slightly as still in use.

Consensus of opinion on boxster forums appears to be buy one that gets used, not a low mileage garage queen, and has a good maintenance record. Well your lucks in.

Its been her daily driver, and also a weekend toy. It has been unflinching in providing fun, fun, fun.

Good service history, folder full of receipts, Just some highlights, full suspension to M30, clutch, brakes, radiators etc etc, early car so better IMS (so I'm told)

Its got newish roof with the heated rear glass, last bit of work was all new coil packs, service, and gearbox oil change.

Surprisingly practical with 2 boots, even been camping with it.

Best of all its got PORSCHE written down the sides, makes it faster, honest.

Non standard back box, looks nice, bit loud tootling round town, but sound great with the roof down as the revs rise.

Is it the best example, no. Is it a good honest, reliable, example, yes.

Only one thing needs mentioning, tyres have loads of tread and are p zero, but a bit old.

Might keep it till the summer, then sell, but just in case anyone fancies it to tinker with over the winter.

£5000, pm me for pictures.

Thanks Stuart.

My original advert is locked so can't add these pictures taken today.
It hasn't stopped raining here all weekend so couldn't wash the car before them but gives you some idea.
