No sun and no flash
We cluttered off to the Sadcase car meet at Ford aerodrome in the SSE last Sunday - wow 600+ cars, 2000+ visitors, thousands collected for charity, and who should we meet there but the famous Porsche racer Nick Faure. And in the afternoon off to the Wisborough Green horticultural and dog show, very Sussex, very country.
So on the short journey home, firstly I flicked the switch to operate the sunroof, and nothing happened although it was working earlier in the day, then an oncoming 997 gave us a recognition flash, I reciprocated but no blue light appeared on the dash, so a quick wave sufficed. Back at home the first thing I checked was the respective fuse and tweaked the wires coming to the fuse but no joy.
I think this one will have to go to the garage to get sorted but has anybody had similar occurrences and would the two problems be connected?

Sod it, I've fiddled around with my multimeter and got zero voltage anywhere so it's booked into the shop, they can sort it out.

Re: No sun and no flash
Sunday 2nd I'm at the Shere Hill Climb event near Guildford, still with no sunroof op, and I spied Jeff, chief mech at Cridfords in the paddock area. I asked him if there might be anything I should be looking for to try and get my sunroof working again. He sits in my car, switches on the ignition, hit the sunroof switch and the bloody thing works. Dirt on the switch, slight drop in voltage, maybe but for now I'm carrying Jeff around under the bonnet, a bit cramped but he doesn't complain, much.
Still no flash, but I just wave.

Re: No sun and no flash
I was also at Shere, a good day out. Must have seen your car, was it the one with the sunroof shut?
