My Father in law wants to sell his Grand Prix white 3.2 Targa Sport. He has had it for probably 10 or 12 years (not sure as cant find v5 but he is getting a copy) and always takes it to the local classics car garage for service and work. (They are renowned down here as the Morgan garage but do a lot of classic cars). 2 years ago they did a glass out repaint, back to bare metal so paintwork is very very good - I doubt it has done more than 500 miles since.
The car itself has a lot of history with it and what looks like genuine miles of 93k.
I have a looked around it and my view is as follows:
Good - paint - they did an excellent job of the repaint it is spot on.
targa top / roof all in excellent condition
4 new tyres and refurb'd wheels (forged fuchs with white centres)
sport options (wheels/spoiler/suspension)
just had new fuel tank and fuel system refresh after starting issues
very original - still has original radio cassette etc
Bad - annoyingly they left off the wind beading (between the scuttle and wings)
again annoyingly they have replaced the fuel tank and didnt spray it with grey stone chip
engine could do with a bit of detailing, its all there and original but needs some love, IMHO
not G50 but most of the rest of us are pretty happy with 915 gearboxes
It has been very well cared for and drives well. Its not everyone thing and my annoyances are little things that a couple of weekends would have it fixed and you would have a really good genuine car. Price - it seems the local garages seem to think they could get £40k retail in a garage so looking for £35k.
I have some pictures but if anyone wants some more I can get it out and do a through set. The car is in Cornwall. The link below should work but otherwise PM me and I will email you some.
