Another seized screw

Ok getting though my list of to do's for my car and have come across a seized screw.

On the rear light cluster for my911 one of the brake light housings rear screws that allow you to access the connections for the light unit itself have seized not allowing any amont of force with a screw driver to undo it.
I have also tried loads of plus gas but its not comming undone at all.

So can I use a hobby blow torch to heat the screw up without damaging the internals? The housing is made of metal but I am worried about the internal bulb housings and conectors which are brass being damaged. Also the internals are plastic.

Its such a basket to undo and other methods are not working.

I work with blowlamps on a daily basis, (bit bigger than a hobby one though)
even a small blowlamp will generate enough heat to melt the internals, if you have a dremell or similar grind off the head once the housing is clear you will have a better chance of getting molegrips to it.

chisel off the screw head, then get some grips on it, or if needs be drill it out carefully

I have a small dremel.. try that or will carefully grind it off.

why didn't I think of that??

I drilled the 2 screws off and found that there was not much left of the stubs. They are deeply embeded in the plastic part of the housing and nothing I can do is enabling me to get them out.

Took ages to drill those suckers out. They are tough.

Anyway I think I need a replacement.
