My mate Paul's '65 Vespa Sprint . The only scooter there . Didn't worry the faster lads but he didn't do bad seeing as this was a pile of bits 2 days earlier ....

Is there some sort of fixed penalty if you get caught smiling?
The simple things you see are all complicated

Not been there for years, at least the mid '90s. It all looks familiar though. I always look to find out when it will be, but then forget about it till someone puts pics out. I always love the home brewed nature of most of the bikes, there's nothing much standard about many of them. This means that the shoddiest of motorcycles can surprise everyone with an unexpected turn of speed. One year, FTD was set by an early '30s cammy Velocette 350, in 'oily rag' condition, against machines almost 3 times the capacity. It was wet mind.

There was always a guy who would turn up with the rattiest Vincent series D fully enclosed thing, all un restored. I bet that it's had the paint and plating treatment by now though.
