My 77 Carerra is running a 3.2 engine from a 84 on Motronic car and as such I am finding alot of the parts are sometimes modified 3.0 Carerra items.
I have found that my Oil Tank is a modified 3.0 one and not the 3.2.

As you can see there are 3 oil lines here in the picture on the right of the pic. The current oil tank has fittings that allow the 2 larger breathers pipes to the tank itself. However the smaller breather pipe has nowhere to go. The guys who converted the car have blocked this pipe up with a bolt. This is less then satisfactory and I'd like to connect this up somehow.
The first idea I have is to use a copper t piece (like a plumbing pipe) to lay in line of one of the larger breather pipes and connect the smaller breather pipe?
Is this a good idea? Will copper cause any ill effects to my engine?
Or should I use or make up a steel T piece?
I'd rather not buy another oil tank as I need to keep the costs down at this stage.
