69 LWB value

What is the perceived wisdom related to ownership of LHD 69 LWB 912 against 68 SWB cars? Only 5,500 made........

Seems to be personal preference from what I can tell, don't think there is much difference in value between all years apart from possibly the very early 65 cars going for a little more (especially rhd if you can find one)

Personally I think the 69 cars are fantastic looking and driving cars, as well as having all of the later developments such as lwb, 5 dials, improved engine mounts etc. However some people prefer the early cars looks and slightly more playful handling.

I suppose I ask because you never see much written on here related to 69's. I assume that is because there are not that many on the road over here

I sometimes see 'Rare' SWB 912's advertised which is quite funny when over 30,000 of them were made compared to 5500 LWB. Both great cars.

Max has a 1968 for sale for £35k! Highest price I've seen.

I wonder if people don't necessary want 1969 lwb because it was a fix for the rear end heavy 911 which the 912 doesn't not?

The balance of the 912 improved too Neil, so it basically turned a good handling car into a great handling car in the 912s case.
