Chroming steel wheels

Hi, does anyone know where I can get a set of steels re-chromed and how much? I'm guessing it's expensive due to breaking down the wheel and re-welding.

I tried Canford Classics as they have a page on thier website about it, but when I asked them they said they don't do it anymore.

Alternatively has anyone tried chrome effect poweder coating?

Have a look at MT's "The Doctor's' car restoration thread, or PM, him he recommends a firm he used (and others have used too)

Some people have had good results with these guys who do a chrome powder coat type process - http://www.aerocoat.co.uk/

I have recently had wheels coated in the method identified by Bootsy (and by the same company). Probably much cheaper than chroming and requires less maintenance. I would however suggest the chrome effect is approx. 80% (of the bling) to that of real chrome.

Yes, always appears a little duller. Guess it all depends what sort of look you're after.

Thanks all. The 'Doctor's car' wheels are Aerocoat/Aeromax, that is the kind of thing I was thinking of. I think I could live with 80% bling
