Now it may not be an M5 or a high end Merc but I have been forced to replace the trusty 187000 mile Passat after the wife drove it into a double decker bus. It's replacement..... A Skoda.

Drove it 315 miles up to Aberdeen earlier in the week and you know I really like it. It steers better than the Passat, it goes better than the Passat and I saw 51 mpg out of the 170 Bhp common rail Diesel engine. First impressions are quite positive. Will have to see if it lasts as long as the Passat.

Did we have a bit of a dice with each other on the M6 today? I was returning from Aberdeen in the dirtiest possible red 924s, as I hadn't had the chance to wash it for 3 weeks!
