Hello, Canford Classics currently have a left hand drive 1968 911 T for sale. The car was imported from the US in the early 90's and since then there are a number of receipts in it's history file for works undertaken by several known companies here in the UK. The car has be stored for the last 6 years. We have recently undertaken a full brake refurbishment including rebuilt calipers front and rear, new handbrake cables and shoes and pads, new flexi and main hard lines plus all new discs. The engine was removed and a full service undertaken. Whilst out we fitted a full new clutch and also first gear on the gear box was worn thus 1st syncro and dog teeth were replaced. The weber carbs were also stripped and cleaned out and plus a new fan shroud fitted and finished with a correct set of red frame decals. The interior is mostly original, all the guages work correctly, the front seats have been retrimmed recently.
The car drives very well and feels very strong for a 2.0ltr car. The engine is not the original motor but is a 2.0ltr T motor from a 1969 T. The carbs are still the original 1968 weber units. The original colour is burgundy but has been painted metallic silver in the past. The paint is ok but by no means perfect.
This is not a restored car but one which is great fun to drive, it is fully taxed and mot'ed and ready for someone to have some fun. Use it as is, or restore back to original specifications. The car is being sold "as is" and is available for viewings and test drives.
