Is this too modern for DDK?
Thought this looked really nice. Not the colour I would choose but looks to be in great condition.

Looks like a nice example but what's with the wheels? Are they from a 924/944?

Telephone dials were standard fit on non-Sport 3.2s IIRC
Re: Is this too modern for DDK?
Seeing that car makes you realise how rare 3.2's on teledials are now. I can't remember the last time I saw one.dragonfly wrote:Telephone dials were standard fit on non-Sport 3.2s IIRC

Re: Is this too modern for DDK?
Seems like a lot of money for a 3.2 but who knows?
If it's as nice and genuine as it looks then try finding another. The way prices are going it might seem a bargain in a few years time.

I don't think I could live with that interior ...

The blind alley period for Porsche heralding the beginning of their entry into the slough of mire that has ended up with the Panadearie.
colour to match her new coat, seats to match the lapdog and specification directed towards perfect mediocrity. Only good things are the wheels.
I'd rather have an Allegro for that style and presentation - far more authentic, particularky in 'hearing aid beige'

If you haven't got 2nd gear by the time the lights go green, then you've made a bad start.

Re: Is this too modern for DDK?
I had the pleasure of driving a nearly new Allegro 1750 'Sport' in a rather nice two tone brown in my early driving years. That funky steering wheel, lovely velvet brown interior was easy to fall in love with considering what had gone before. I liked it. Pity half the screws/bolts were missing and the other half hadn't been tightened up.Alex Postan wrote: I'd rather have an Allegro for that style and presentation - far more authentic, particularky in 'hearing aid beige'

Hi
Why do adverts have a picture of a Porsche badge ( and this ad. a picture of a Carrera badge) as part of the presentation. As Billy Connolly said " I know what a cloud is".

Re: Is this too modern for DDK?
The tele-dial wheels are rare for a reason - they only look good on a 928 (without the spoilers).

I pass by this dealer every week. It ain't beige in the metal, pretty close to light ivory in colour. It is in stunning original condition. And brown is the new black don't you know...

Re: Is this too modern for DDK?
Had a quick look at this - albeit through the showroom window - with Nick yesterday. Jonny's right - look like Light Ivory in the flesh. If I had the room I'd bid 'em and squirrel it away and use for high days & holidays. 27 year old, low mileage, low owner cars don't come up that often.
