Bf Torino or Deser Seats?
Anybody any experience on both seats, which are the better quality?
Not sure whether to spend the extra getting the real leather or leatherette on the Rallye G / Touring Deser's. Obviously its a chunky amount either way so just want the best quality.
Appreciate any feed back please.
Cheers

Re: Bf Torino or Deser Seats?
Hi. I have BF Torino "Le Mans" on my 2.4 ... very good value for money, very comfortable on long driving, very good lateral support and quality material.

Desers are much closer to the real deal, but as you say are more money. BF Torinos are perfectly good quality just not as accurate repros.

Re: Bf Torino or Deser Seats?
I have/had a pair of Torinos in my 73T hot rod, comfortable but my Sparco FIA race seat is far better as the seat base is 3" lower than the Torino.
Paid £100 a long time ago for the pair from Husband Crawley autojumble....

Very pleased with my BF Le Mans B80 in black leatherette/cord, bought in March this year.
I got mine from Rennsport in Surrey, they call it the RS80 model.

Re: Bf Torino or Deser Seats?
They're not quite period (but they'll pass) , but I have a pair of Recaro Sportster CSs in my car on low Tuthill mounts. http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/performan ... er-cs-seat .
Without doubt they are the best seats I've ever known in a car, all-day comfortable, light, lots of support and grip and they also flip forward to allow access to the rear seats.

Re: Bf Torino or Deser Seats?
I think one advantage of the BF over the Deser is that they are considerably lighter! Also, in my opinion, the locking mechanism for the backrest is more secure and thus safershoestring7 wrote:They're not quite period (but they'll pass)

Re: Bf Torino or Deser Seats?
Are the Deser seats available in the UK? is the a UK agent?
Re: Bf Torino or Deser Seats?
I got a quote direct from Deser Italy.
But think I'll go down the BF route in the new year.

i.e. Mark Waring at Rennsport
On his site the seats are called Sports, here is a picture of them fitted to my car.
