The new pit-lane complex is fantastic. The track's a bit too long and fast for a 40 year old Porsche but great fun anyway. :-)

It's actually a BMW trackday but there's about 8 or 10 Porsches here.

Nice pics.

You have done well with the weather, I was there yesterday on a bike trackday and it was the windiest day I have ever ridden on. We were getting blown 5ft over coming out of copse and it was difficult getting the bike over in to club as the wind was keeping it up!

Is uncle Vic there ... he mentioned he was at Silverstone this week.

Regards
The force is strong in this one ......

It's getting even sunnier! :-)
The clouds have cleared and the track is warming. Only one red flag so far and no harm done.
It's open pit-lane and there's no queue, pretty quiet out on the circuit too (because it's vast).

At the drivers briefing we were told "be careful out there, some parts of the circuit are slippy. We had a bike day yesterday and there may be some blood on the track". :)

Ben, yes, all photos were on my iPhone.
I posted using Tapatalk but don't use their 'hosted by Tapatalk' for the images (because I feel they're too small in size and too low-res).
I have the Photobucket app so I upload pics from my phone direct to there.

Some shots are straight from the phone, some with effects or borders added using the Photoshop app.
But most of them (and the better ones) are shot using 'Hipstamatic'. It's a superb app for the iPhone.
Get yourself a selection of lenses and film effects and set the camera to randomise with a shake.
And off you go.

I will add that I get the best shots by being there. Good images don't seem to happen when I'm stuck at work or lounging about at home.
My best tip. Be there. :)

Obviously there was some nice BMW's there too. Sadly most were modern, like brand new. But there was a few older ones on show.
Like this...

Image

I didn't see any BMW's from the seventies on the circuit though, so I think I won the oldest car on track award.

There was a Ferrari too but the last time I saw him was when I rounded a corner to discover him facing me (having just stopped spinning) with his real wheel ripped off.
The lack of supporting wheel may have been what caused the rear of the car to hit the deck and thence the rear bumper to come adrift.... :compress:
