Stainless custom 356 exhaust

Post by Stevie B »

Hi everyone, booked my car in next monday for a stainless custom exhaust.
Twin pipes exiting either side of number plate. Chap at the custom exhaust place said it should be interesting for him. Anything I should be watching out for. He said he can adjust the sound for note & loudness, got to let him know when I drop the car off. I have only driven the car about 70 miles since I took delivery two weeks ago so not sure if loud is what I want? Friend of a friend doing exhaust so money is not an issue (cheap :) )
Engine 1600cc Vw Chesil body.

Lifetime guarantee, i dont know if he meant mine or the cars.

first of all, welcome to the DDK. How loud is totally your own preference, as we all like different sounds. If it was me I'd get it to sound like Porsche 356 carrera.

YouTube Porsche 356 carrera. Lots of exhaust sounds there. Post some pictures and keep us updated.

Picked up the jelly mould from the exhaust man today. Really pleased, looks great & sounds fantastic, seems to go faster too or it sounds like it does.Image
