1975 rear brake pads for 914 what is the right part number please and what else fits them i ve seen some listed in places as fitting saab audi etc is this the case and what prices are they sorry to ask but i am learning thanks owen nw this is my 13 year olds car

now need long handbrake cable for the 1975 914 , can any body help new second hand ,, i ve found out that alfa pads on a gtv 79 83 are the same pads , so i ve been told i ve ordered them so if it helps i put it up eith part number , thanks for all help would be lost without yees owen nw

I would order the handbrake from Mittelmotor, you may find that one of the holes int he new pads will be too small so you you will have to ream it out slightly.

I bought a new handbrake cable last year for mine. After trying everyone, my local OPC was by far the cheapest. Worth a phone call before you order from anyone.

Owen I've just remembered I have a spare used long handbrake cable. It's actually under my desk at the moment, from a '72 car. It came with a bunch on cables I bought recently.

Just had a look and it's not bad, a little stiff but I think it'll do the job with a bit of lubrication. Drop me a PM if you're interested.

Just pulled the front calipers off my 74 914 and the front pads seem to be same size as Merc 500 (v8) rear brake pads ?.

Owen, I managed to get the lot cheap so happy to pass on the price. How does £10+postage sound? As I say it's a bit stiff, if you find it's no good I'll refund you back the £10.
