shipping a car to Oz
Has anyone on here shipped a car over to Oz as I am trying to find out what taxes I am going to have to pay. I am not worried about the actual shipping costs just the taxes/duty that I would have to pay.

have a look here. is the car LHD ? need to be careful if it is, as only LHD cars beyond a certain age can be road registered and the conditions vary between state. NSW for example is 30 years +. If you import a younger car either it will have to converted to RHD or I believe cannot be registered for road use.
I have some documents specifically relating NSW requirements if interested. PM me and I'll mail them to you.
