I have a thread going in the resto section, but i just wanted to share these fresh paintshop photos of this rare and unique 8310 metallic green color on my 1973 Porsche 911 2.4S

More pictures on my webpage for those with interest.

There is light at the end of the tunnel for me, even here in a world crises, can this make me very very happy.

WOW What a fantastic colour....why don't they make cars in these colours anymore? We live in such a grey world...

Hi James

Yes, my plane is to drive in in June 2009, as You can see on my homepage everything is refurbished and should "only" be mounted on the car. But since im no mechanic it would probably not be so easy as it should be for a experienced mechanic.

But with help from fellow members on this forum among our own early911 forum in denmark, i think I manage.

Whenever I ask someone I get reply very fast, so that would help me assemble the car again, whenever i am locked to a certain problem.

Stunning colour. As Brendan said, why don't we see these colours nowadays? Might differentiate the standard boxes that everyone produces.

Hi Thomas,

I love the colour- fantastic!

It was not too many years ago that in my world of Italian car restoration, that these original colours were seen as 'sales proof' and so many 'stunning' exotics were repainted in more acceptable metallic blue, 'retail red' or 'look at me yellow',

-it's good to right the wrongs of the ancestors!
