Squeeky/Squealing speedo !

Post by impmad2000 »

When I got the car... the speedo started to squeal on the way home, It was a KPH unit, so I bought an MPH one.... that didn't work, so I got another one..... and now this one has started to squeal too. Is this a common problem ? I intend to carefully unroll the bezel and apply some silicone grease inside. Does anyone have any better suggestions ?

I believe it is actually the speedo itself. If you touch the glass, it is actually vibrating/buzzing. I'll check the cable any way. Thanks

I found that lubricating the speedo cable fixed my 'jumping' needle & removed the 'orrible squealing too.
