1976 Porsche 912E (49000 miles) - SOLD

Post by wildtexas »

I am soon to be leaving the US, and it looks as though it is time for me to sell my 912E. I have a 68 to look after in the UK and my first child on the way as well :) . It is a great car, probably the best classic I have owned and I'm gutted to have to sell it.

I have it advertised on the 912bbs website over here, the link is below.

I thought I would try it in the UK too, although they seem better understood in the USA, you never know someone might want to join the inner circle of UK 912E owners.

If anyone might be interested you can contact me at matt_wild@talk21.com for more details.

I am in the UK (N.Ireland and Berkshire) over Christmas, I'll be online and it may make it easier to discuss on the phone at that time too.

If you think you might be the next owner, drop me a line.

Asking for $15000 which is a steal in the UK at present.

Matt

I have no vested interest in this car, but I am a good friend of Matt and can vouch for him as a thoroughly decent chap, so if he says its as good as it is.......it is!
I have also seen lots of photos of this car over the last couple of years and from what I've seen it looks very honest and genuine.

Also the sooner he sells it, the sooner he can retrieve his other 912 from my garage!

Too true

Xmas is a great time for flogging trees! Not cars!

Talking of which, I am in Ireland, selling fir trees, chopping Yule logs for the in-laws, and getting fed far too many potatoes.

Still I won't complain over a big feed.

Charlie, are you starting to stalk me? Trying to buy another of my Classic cars. Maybe you could get this one featured too?

Show us a pic!

The Notch is the earliest in the UK

Post by wildtexas »

The Notch is the earliest in the UK I believe.

The chassis was built early Jan 1962 but the body and all the interior/gauges etc are dated Dec 1961. So it is a 1962 model built as close as possible to 1961. That car is sweet and also as solid as VWs come.

I found it in Norway whilst on another posting, but had to leave it behind in the UK when I came Stateside. Needless to Say Charlie knows a good car when he sees one and bought it.

He is the one responsible for accessorising it as you see here. I like my cars stock, Charlie likes Bling!

So Charlie do they do Bling roofracks for 912Es?

You know, understanding shipping to the UK might not be all bad. Just need some of Andy's workshop space. Andy - scrap the bus!
