Apal 356 Speedster - *SOLD*

Post by Paul Knight »

I've just finished working on the pops Apal Speedster but, due to storage restrictions he just doesn't really have the space to keep it. He picked the green coupe in the pics to keep over the Speedster as it needs to be almost a 'daily driver' and the Speedster, although it has a top and side screens, just isn't really a snow and ice kinda car!

Some brief details:-
’57 chassis - fully glossed throughout to show standard, all new running gear, cross-drilled discs etc.
Engine - 1914cc unit by Rich Morena. Engle W120 can, ported heads, merged exhaust, 40IDFs etc.
Interior - largely GENUINE Porsche parts (ie steering column and wheel, guages, 'screen surround and even the seats). Incidentally, seats are coupé spec as not only did they look nicer than the typical buckets, they're 100-times comfier than any Speedster bucket I've ever sat it!. There are a pair of 'glass Speedster buckets available, but trust me, these are far nicer.
Full connolly blood red leather retrim by DS trimming in Essex - faultless. Red carpets, leather dashtop, best of everything.
Wheel - genuine Porsche Fuchs 6x15s with new tyres etc.

This Sppedster is very fast and very low - it's like a missile on rails! Turns heads everywhere it goes and is really a nicely put together and top-spec piece of kit. Less than 500 miles since build - your chance to own one of the UKs best Speedsters!
No swaps or trades, but if you have a genuine enquiry, please feel free to call Bob on 01702 525624. THere really is too much to list!

ps
If you really wanted to go for the genuine look, there is also an original 356 Speedster motor available (correct Speedster numbers!) at extra cost ;)

i think it's around 20 - but you really need to speak to bob on that one. he had a look on www.speedsters.com and couldn't find any better for less (although there were also inferior cars for more!)
