Back from Le Mans :-(

Post by pmjt »

Well, I must be the first one home  Superb run back to Yorkshire - just over 600 miles in 10 hours driving time.

Bummer to have to leave the best party I've ever been to - what a great few days.

Wonderful to meet everyone and see such a superb collection of cars together at the DDK pitch.

James - how many days to the next Le Mans Classic?

P

ps: ho hum - off to work tomorrow :-(

Left at 1pm got back 5 past 7, so just missed the beginning of the match, I did hit some naugthy speeds in France, but they do know how to use their lanes properly - only in the fast lane to overtake then back in unlike those on the M25....what a nightmare

What about you?

got back at 8.30pm unpacked just in time for penaltys, had a slight problem near abberville, driving along all good 80 mph  then all of a sudden nothing, cut out altogether  found a wire had come out the end of the spade connector on the coil, 5 mins back on the road
nice to have met you both, hope to see you at future events

Two years is a long time, I'm going to next years normal Le Mans as porsches will be contesting in LMP2 - but will probably communte in my daily car, and leave the 3.2 for several "other" trips around Europe.

I hope to make it to 911 & porsche world party in the park
Date is August 6

Location is 5-10 minutes off Junction 11 of the M4 down the A33 toward Basingstoke. Then follow the brown Wellington Park signs.

Opens at 10.00am - Admission is £5.

So hopefully may see you folks there, otherwise I'm sure we will meet at some other event in the not to distant future

Cheers

Ian -that was incredible...we watched the nightime bit at Arnage -the 935's have no use for rear lights with that turbo glowing cherry-red. 8)
Probably the best event I have ever been to...jaw dropping.

Fantastic time. Blew off a lot of steam and met some great people. Still don't know who most of them are though! Maybe we should put pics of ourselves in the members section (I always worry about stalkers  )

It was nice to be forced to leave the track through the main entrance.
