I've bought the first bits for my Porsche! Admittedly they are only veeeeery small but hopefully this'll be the start of a long journey to La Sarthe and racing at Le Mans :)

They are the lights that light up the race numbers on one door and the boot lid of the 914/6 GT that won it's class at Le Mans in 1970. They are BMW 2002 Tii American spec licence plate lamps :)

In further "notreallydoinganythingworthwhileatthemomentsoi'llbuycheapparts" type of thing I've ordered a rear number plate for the car as well :)

911 & PW in 94 (readers rides) & that pinacle of motoring journalism that was 'Jalopy' magazine

Really? Got any copies of them that you could be persuaded to part with? It's got a history file a couple of inchs thick, including letters from the first and second owners in the States and about a billion receipts.

And yes Gilbert, I reckon a couple of weeks will have it sorted

I'm just buying bits to keep me entertained until it moves into number 1 spot in my "doing stuff" queue.

Those are my GT door pulls at the top of the photo. They've just turned up from Utah. Thankfully the production run got sorted before 914club.com disapeared
