Hi to all,
Just joined so here goes.
There have been a few Porsches in the family so I´ve always had the pleasure of driving them, my brother currently runs a Carrera 4.
I used to have a Chesil Speedster but I hankered after vintage metal so it was sold on to a good home.
I currently have a stripped out 1956 oval window beetle which has a few Porsche parts fitted, its a fun street racer and is keeping me sane until I find the 356 A I have craved for many years.

Hi Helen,Helen wrote:hi and welcome to DDK,
how did you hear about us?
i am currently restoring a 356c with the aim of driving it to Spain for the 356 international in May.
I first saw the site early this year while searching for 356 stuff on the net, pretty much by accident to be honest.
Where in Spain is the International to be held ?

This is interesting, I know Sitges well, its about a 2 hour drive down the coast from where I live.912uk wrote:I just find these events too dam expensive £1100 for two of you..esp as we get Trade rates on Hotels..
Oh BTW Hello ...nice to see another 356 person and welcome to DDK
I agree that the price is very high for a 3 day event although I´m sure it includes all food and drink. Its worth noting that Porsche owners in Spain are generally very wealthy folk so this is probably the norm for them.
If there was interest from the UK I would be more than happy to organise alternative accommodation here at sensible prices. I have friends and family in the business so I could sort apartments, logistics etc etc. I could also speak with the club and try and sort out access to the race track etc. This way you could still get involved in most of the activities but also have a bit more freedom. I know from experiance that the meals and prize giving can be long drawn out affairs and are in Spanish, they make you feel very welcome indeed but its not the same.
Its a thought.
