Decided last night (after looking at the weather forecast) to go and watch a couple of stages of the RAC (Roger Albert Clarke) rally and I took the Porsche. Well it was obvious from the start that salt had been put down last night but I thought what the hell....then on the way over Beattock summit on the M74 the car started to lose power, I limped off the motorway at Beattock and when I took a look there was ice formed around large parts of both carb banks

I waited for over 1/2 hour for the sun to come up and defrost me and the car. Got her started and drove 2-3 miles in forest tracks to get to the stage. Had a great, if cold and wet day and other than the frozen carbs my Honey was fantastic

And getting to see the Lancia Stratos on a rally stage for the first time in 30 years made the day just FANTASTIC.
And here is a couple of picture from the day ....
