Bert,
You can hitch a ride with me.
I'm planning on meeting the Newick/Wisley teams in Petworth at 8.30am.
If you're in Bath, Saturday night, it's probably best to get to my house (Farnham) for 7.30am Sunday. If you can get up that early!
If you're interested PM me.

I'm going a bit wobbly on this now, I'm afraid: there's a good chance that I'll end up slaving over a hot MIG welder instead.

Perhaps I'll see what the weather's doing: if it's really, really, really lovely (as in the complete opposite of the forcast) I might well drag the TR out, otherwise I'll be in my hobbit hole (or workshop as some call it).

If I don't see you down there, have a great time, if I do then see you there. Or something.

Hopefully Bert will be with me Mike.
However, his weekend travelling seemed to comprise Nottingham, Hull, Bath and Farnham.
If he ever gets to my house and we get to Goodwood I'll be amazed.

See you in Petworth guys.

Another great run this morning, if a little damp at times  I thought it turned out to be a good thing though, certainly gave me a bit more confidence in the wet.

Keep an eye on the forecasts over the next few weeks, if there looks to be a nice dry sunday morning coming up I think we should try and get out again & we really must try and get that road in (the way we went to the Porsche picnic). Will, Gav & I came back that way, just before is started chucking down, what a road 8)

Hello Charlotte and Guys,

Aaaah, man, I am knackered. Didnt make it to Hull due to no response received but back to Nottingham on two hours sleep was good enough already. Hitting town in Bath was, with hindsight, maybe not the most brightest idea but hey.

It was great to see Mike setting the pace and Will and Darren giving chase. (Darren: go carrera 3.0 go! She sounds glorious)

I am deeply indebted to Paul (litterally and figuratively: in true grand style I tried to pay for breakfast but the machine gave up. => Paypalled all over to you now) for giving me a lift down. I popped my cherry as it was my first drive in a 2.4S! Bit of all or nothing, which is what is all about.

Great to catch up with Charlotte, Ian, Nick et all; bit of a shame that it was the last big event this year

Take care,

Bert

great to see everyone and a fantastic drive down in the wet, good fun and hope it was quick enough for you Will

Really tested the new Michelin Pilot Exalto's which are supposed to be unbeatable in the wet with the big rain grooves, certainly vouch for that, felt really planted in very wet and slippery Sussex country roads.

Great Americana on show, hard to decide, Shelby 350GT rep or 'bullet' Mustang

BTW, Happy Birthday Paul!
cheers, Mike.

Any pictures??

Sorry I didn't make it (was trimming my toe hair: see above). Actually was surprised to see that it wasn't chucking it down with rain (as per the forecast). Oh well made do with my Weetabix and an extra few hours in the workshop  .

Hope you all had a good time: sounds like the drive was good :) .
