DDK@LMC06: And so start the video threads...
One of the lucky ones, I had the day off yesterday to recover.
I may be up to my eyeballs now I'm back in the office, but I've already got someone ingesting the video that
Justin and I shot.
As we said to many of you at the time, I'll post soon to invite you to send us materials for use on our reportage.
But in the meantime, I just grabbed a section of the tracklaps etc. at random, which you can go see here:
http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p ... CFF5F9147A
On the Mulsanne straight, I think that the youtube compression means you can't see the speedo, but when we
make the final discs available, you'll see that we hit 128mph, just as we pass Phil (early911).
What a buzz!

OK, there's some more random stuff up there, this time from one of the race rushes tapes... just to remind you all that there was
some real racing going on!
I've now created a specific DDK@LMC06 playlist here:
http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p ... CFF5F9147A
Will: I've put a reverse angle of that 'moment' up there... I have two other angles somewhere too, plus maybe you guys caught it?
Peter: Waddareckon, if I hadn't swerved left, I could have had the Orange Peril up my exhaust pipe!

Here's how it should be done:

I'm pretty sure that car was there last weekend, I've got a photo of the grille with the martini colours.

mmm... james you're still hanging on to that one! I'll post my footage when i get a mo and you can see just how close you were to Mike when he locked up... at least we all know the brakes are good! There was also an Elise who nearly got sandwiched in the middle.

just watched it! brilliant! I've got the whole thing from the other angle...
can't believe you're saying 'come on Mike!' you must have been about 2 inches from his bumper at the time.
It's funny because in all the footage it looks as though we're all going sooo slow. The cars running 3 minute laps must be incredible...

Easy there Peter, I wasnae finger pointing! We were all shifting, with far too many slower cars in front!
I've just posted another angle:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZ1-oxC0jIY
Will's mate should have good stuff, as well as Nick. And Justin was shooting from Peter's car too...
