And another one, this time porsche own label oil

https://www.design911.co.uk/p/porsche-c ... 004320929/

I can't find a data sheet for this so can't quantify things like zddp content.

I've also found a millers product but again issues with tech data download not working. They too have had an email for more info.

Millers classic has come back as approx 1100 - 1150.

I watched that slade video and another. One of them reckoned 1200 zddp to be ideal. More causes a build up of zinc which may be harmful. another says not a problem. a fair bit of blah blah blah. Also a fair bit on viscosity and geographical temperatures.

Going to be contacting porsche tomorrow for their classic engine oil spec.

I spoke to porsche centre in casnewydd and they said they cannot tell me the zddp content.

I'm not sure if the parts guy did not know it, couldn't find it or was not not permitted to tell me.

I'll leave that alone.

I was waiting for that reply, as others who have questioned what exactly makes THEIR Classic oil so special, with their advertising blurb on it, have come up with a similar brick wall. Why should the ZDDP content be such a big secret, unless of course it has none?

I have emailed porsche uk at reading for an answer. not expecting one to be honest, I'm happy to be proven wrong though.

Now I'm looking at castrol classic oils.

i see gtx classic and classic xl. two grades availaible. 10/40 & 20/50. I did find the zddp content for gtx 20/50. i think it was 1350 compared to valvo at 1400. I need to go back and confirm that.

However i have not been able to find the figure for the xl oil.
