Special Order on my pre-a rhd

Post by porsche356prearhd »

Hello,
I am Volker from Germany, the owner of a very late pre-a rhd.
Originally with a special order paint.
On the Kardex it says mixcolour of Shell- and Tudorgray (2711)
WHO has and info on how to mix the right colours?
No more Info from Reutter or Kardex available.
Does anyone know, what that number means?

Regards
Volker Heß

For reference, here is an example of Shell Grey over Tudor Grey

If it's an AFN car there is a small chance Mike Smith has this info, you can contact him by messaging Mike Smith on here or via https://www.prs356.co.uk/contact/

Either way your best chance for a paint match is to find original paint with the least sunlight exposure and have it analysed by a paint shop equipped with a spectrophotometer

even if I find a hidden spot I still don't know if it is the right color, since nobody knows what its meant to look like. I still have hope to figure out what 2711 means. and there is a few spots that are slightly green. could this be right? due to aging for over 70 years?

.

It might be worth contacting Glasurit in Germany to see if they can help:

https://www.glasurit.com/en-int/get-touch

- I've checked their on-line colour base for 356 paint codes but there's no mention of '2711'

If it's olive green it could be the original primer

the 2711 is nothing based on the supplier. it might by a Porsche internal code? but the green is more like a shine.

The two registration numbers do not match?

One appears to be 503NHU or NMU, and the second picture shows a car with 958LGU ??
