Dougal,
Another interesting set could be the Michelin MXW.
The 255/45R15 is still being made but unfortunately not the 225/50R15 (front).

Do you think you could ask Michelin to re-introduce the latter size?

Hi

Can i ask what size rims you have?

Im relatively confident that the 225/50R15 Michelin MXW wont be made in the near future, and in all fairness it isnt really ideal for you.

Also the 255/45R15 MXW is such an unusual tyre most years i don't sell any at all, as a result i don't keep them on the shelf. I can however get them in for you. they are ikn stock with Michelin. to my knowledge they dont fit any Porsche at all but they do fit a Renault Alipne V6.

can i ask why you dont fit the Pirelli P7? they make all the right sizes i beleive.

Tire Size Load Index Section Width Overall Diameter Recommended Rim Width
205/50 VR 15 PIRELLI CINTURATO P7 86 210 mm / 8.27" 585 mm / 23.03" 5.5" - 7.5"
225/50 VR 15 PIRELLI CINTURATO P7 91 229 mm / 9.01" 608 mm / 23.94" 6.0" - 8.0"
285/40 VR 15 PIRELLI CINTURATO P7 92 288 mm / 11.33" 609 mm / 23.98" 9.5" - 11"
285/50 VR 15 PIRELLI CINTURATO P7 104 288 mm / 11.33" 666 mm / 26.22" 8" - 10"
345/35 VR 15 PIRELLI CINTURATO P7 95 350 mm / 13.78" 628 mm / 24.72" 11" - 13"

you probably want these on the front

then these on the rear.

These 285/40R15 get fitted on a range of rims

what model is your car?

check out the pictures of the yeallow 911ST on here with the 285/40R15 P7 on a 9" rim on the rear.

Just trying to help out guys with wide flared 911's and ST's.

Why do you say the 255/45R15 is not ideal? The 285/40R15 was not standard either for Porsche.

Here is a pic of MXW 255/45R15 (9" rim) at rear:

....I think Pirelli would sell them in equal numbers with the 215/60R15 :)
