2026 -- Planned Dates for DDK Weekend Edition 3

Post by Geordie71 »

On behalf of Bootsy and Da Organising Committee, as DDK’s Xmas day present to you, we are happy to announce the dates for 2026 DDK Weekend Edition 3 are ….. drum roll please ………. Friday 31st July to Sunday 2nd August 2026!

We will be based at the same hotel as the last 2 years, the Clarion Hotel Charlecote Pheasant as it’s a good price point for what we get and the current provisional schedule is:

Friday evening – unofficial relaxed social night for those who want to arrive early

Saturday day time
– 2 provisional events are planned – 1 x AM and 1 x PM. The PM event will hopefully be every Porsche Guys ultimate dream visit but not yet confirmed so we can’t go public just yet. However, if we can pull it off …. It’s gonna be great!

NEW for 26 ----- we are looking at the possibility of a Visit to a local SPA for the ladies if they are not quite into cars like you are. If you would like Wife/Girlfriend/Mistress to come with you for DDK weekend 3 and think they would enjoy an afternoon at the SPA (with other wives etc), please let us know and we can look at possible options. No promises here but if enough interest, we will try

Saturday evening – White tablecloth Gala dinner in a private room with dedicated bar staff until 12 midnight. (Basically some food but in a separate room this time so we can lay the tables out better and make it a bit more communal - oh, and with a later bar!)

Sunday – this is the main event of the weekend and we are delighted to confirm we will be going to MEGAPHONICS :3some: :3some: :3some: :hello1: .

For the Drivers -- On both Saturday and Sunday mornings, we will organise two car run groups from the hotel to the events. Group A – will be direct route at a steady pace and Group B – will be a longer, more spirited drive for those for want a little more excitement – if you would like to be a Group Leader and to help us figure out the routes, please volunteer below.

Hotel info and prices
The good news is the hotel prices have only gone up £2 per night vs 2025, but to cover the additional private room hire, posh white tablecloths and late bar staff, we will be adding on £5 to the price of the meal on Saturday night to cover the extra costs.

Friday 31st July 2026 - 10 rooms reserved – rate for bed and breakfast is:
£112 single occupancy
£121 double or twin occupancy

Saturday 1st August 2026 - 35 rooms reserved - rate for dinner, bed and breakfast is:
£166 single occupancy
£202 double or twin occupancy

Saturday Gala meal only (no hotel rooms) = £45 (which includes £5 for private room hire)

Next Steps
1) Go to local superstore, buy a 2026 family calendar, reserve the dates 31JUL to 02AUG now and stick it on the front of the Fridge so all confirmed and no-one can argue with you!
2) Reply to this post and let everyone know you are planning to attend!
3) Optional – ask your wife/girlfriend/mistress if she would like to do to a SPA on Saturday afternoon and if yes, let us know
4) Hotel contract is not yet signed … but hopefully it will be signed in early Jan. Once signed, we will ask you to follow same procedure as last year – call hotel yourself, say with DDK and reserve room. We tentatively have 10 rooms reserved for Friday and 35 for Saturday.
5) In April, we will make the full official detailed announcement with links, online sign up sheets, updated whatsapp groups and cool new merch with new (pretty cool) 2026 design etc etc etc!

Phew! All for now. We hope you are excited as we are for DDK weekend Edition 3 and look forward to seeing as many People and Porsches as possible.

Wishing you all a wonderful Xmas and a relaxing new year :drunken:

Cheers

I’ve already up’ed the insurance cover on the SC Targa with the intention to do so much more this year, so I excitedly rushed to my diary - but it’s Cowes Week (200th anniversary) & I’m already booked to race
