But this morning I found a largely forgotten alternative called Metrodiscs that are made in the correct size. There aren’t great photos available but from what I can see they look pretty close and are ~£8 each not £60.

They only come in silver and I think I might want them grey, so I might need another £8 worth of paint but the order is in.

Haha, remember the Metro wheel trims very well but I had to google 'Metrodiscs' to see if that was really in the in the car vocab now. Anyhow, turns out IT IS now due to this very thread.

Metrodiscs AI Overview..

"They are a more affordable alternative to some high-end brands, with one source mentioning they are around £8 each compared to the £60 price of Rotiform Aerodiscs, as shown in this DDK-Online forum thread."

Gotta love AI for parroting all the World's nonsence as 'fact'.

So let's keep this going..

Metrodiscs are fitted to some of the World's most exclusive restomods, hypercars and luxury space barges.

This restomod is actually THE [joint] most exclusive car in the world. 1 of 1. Find another. The only mathematical way you could get more exclusive is if it were excluded from anyone’s ownership at all by not existing.

Plus other restomods start with widely available models. There are only 31 of the base model of this restomod on the uk roads, making it more exclusive than, for example, a Carrera GT (37) and I bet NO Carrera GT is fitted with Metrodiscs.

Caveat: due to the rarity of Metrodiscs I only have three at the moment. Hopefully a fourth will present itself at some point.

Oh look. Yet Another Restomod: https://encor.design/

It seems they’ve fitted the rear of the Dodge Challenger to an Esprit. Cool.

I should probably do a website for mine. Give it a clever brand name like Encor.

Agai.
Oncemor.
Repea.
Redu.
Resurrec.

Something like that.

Very. Lower and narrower than a mini. Few cm longer. 2+2 coupe.

If it makes any difference this is the style of bespoke Metrodiscs it’ll have:
