Slightly O/T - Classic Car Kings S1, Ep 1

Post by rhd racer »

Highly recommend, restoration of a ‘49 cable braked beetle on U&Yesterday (so available on demand and will be repeated on Sky). I didn’t realise cable braked cars operated all 4 brakes on the handbrake but there you go. Simples

The restorers will be recognised by many (Irvs) as do lots of Porsches too which you see various cars and engines during the programme. Remarkable operation, 30 guys and gals, 150 cars on the go and seems to be amazingly knowledgable and skilful bunch too. Worth a watch plus some good footage of Stamford Hall.

Bill Bailey narrates too - what’s not to like

For info, episode 4 is a SWB 911 and episode 5 is the worst condition barn door Samba in existence. It’s a good series

Yes, just watched the Lambo Esparda rebuild, a big undertaking.
Good series, light enough, informative and will only get even better.

The VW rebuild last week was ace imho.
