1982 Porsche 924
Recently joined DDK so this seems a good first post.
Had my 924 for 11 years now after looking for something I could tinker with and not cause any drama if I break it (tinkering with the family car and breaking that got me in trouble a number of times)
At the time 924 prices were rock bottom so after watching a number of auctions I won this one at the time with 72k miles a fresh mot and 6 months tax for £600. It needed a lot of TLC and I spent many hours removing, cleaning and replacing electrical\mechanical\bodywork\interior parts to get it in an acceptable state. I always planned on selling it and moving to something new but the more I used it the less I wanted to sell.
11 years on and its all good. I've gone for a turbo tribute theme based on options originally offered by Porsche so two tone exterior, pasha interior & silver le mans wheels.
I try to attend as many events as possible and with Bicester heritage, Silverstone and C&M up the road it's not hard to find excuses to use it!

Re: 1982 Porsche 924
After following one of the lads who came to Classic LeMans last year with us I lost my sense of what a lowered 924 is

Always regret not doing that colour combo on my Turbo.(thread is on here if interested) Have also been regretting selling it too! I lowered mine an inch.I recall an early morning blast, en route to
auction through curvy A roads. The handling on these when set up is fantastic.I was pushing hard and despite my attempts it didnt let go.Like driving a go kart.On rails!

Re: 1982 Porsche 924
Boxengasse contacted me earlier in the year asking if I'd be interested in filming an episode of Niners Unplugged with them. Standing in front of the camera pushed me way out of my comfort zone but enjoyed the experience and don't think I made a complete arse of myself
