This is currently on Ebay, complete with battery (which is £25.00 itself) There is no charger, but those are readily available for around £10. Maybe worth a punt if interested?

As ever, thank you for thinking about my problems!
Solution found, albeit a bit heath-robinson.
Have now mad a wrench extension tube that slips over the twist handle of the torque wrench I have and multiplies the leverage by 2 fold,
The pressure needed to get to 91 lbft is so so much less.

Happy at that.

It was Chris at Fenn Lane who gave me a telling off some years ago about using 75 lbft which for decades never let me down once although the car has almost only used steel open nuts for 30+ years inc 14 years hillclimbing.
He also could not understand that I 'unwound' my Halford Geadore torque wrench from any setting to fully relaxed, a wrench of 40 years use.

At that time few trusted belville washers.

I use a Draper Expert impact wrench (L-ion) and do final torque with a wrench. I just release the button when it is starting to wind on the torque.

92 is ok with a wet thread - (copper grease), def too tight dry

I use a L-ion impact wrench and stop when it starts to bite them a final quarter turn on the torque wrench

The stud threads are 'wet' but wheel bearing grease, 'cones' are dry.

It is the final tweak to 90 something that is starting to hurt my wrists the day after doing the car's wheels brakes etc. 20 x 91 lbft in succession.

Getting a touch too old for this game.

The tube-on-the-wrench trick is working well, so much less strain.
