So engine build going well but now thinking of which cams to install. Got plenty of T cams and a pair of S but was thinking of either a set of E or Solex
Anyone got something available?
Thanks
Steve

Hi Steve, they look good. I won’t be able to measure them until Monday at the earliest. Send me your email and I will forward pictures.

Hi Steve.
Could Iask what engine you are thinking of for the E Cams? I am just rebuilding another engine a 2.7 with RS Pistons etc and am considering E cams as Bruce Anderson recommended this as a decent fun driver setup. The only question I have is what Cam timing to use on a 2.7 engine. I was considering the early setting of 3.0 to 3.3mm at overlap rather than the later retarded setting.
Do you have any thoughts.
Thanks MikeS
Sorry to put tis on a wanted thread.

Re: Wanted: Pair of 911 'E' cams
This is going into a 1970 2.2 engine I'm building up which has S pistons in but I wanted a more relaxed drive as I have another 2.3ST engine with S cams and twin plugged etc which is great fun but you have to be at high revs to really make the power.
Looking at the timing specs I think a compromise of 3-3.05 lift at tdc still gives best of both worlds. If I find that it doesn't it's not a massive jog to change it later
