plug spanner length

Post by RobFrost »

Does anybody have the early, solid style of Klein 21mm plug spanner (i.e. with the knurled handle and no spring and pivot halfway down) and if so would you please be so good as to let me know how long it is?

I'm looking for a pre-impact bumper 911S or other high-revving 911 to restore - please let me know if you see one.

I don't suppose you have a pic of a 1970?

.

Mike will be able to say for certain but ...

I think the one originally supplied for a 1970 model was what is often referred to as a 'non-tapered' plug wrench/tool :

Yes, that’s the type which would have been in a 70MY kit Andy/Rob. I suspect it will be the same length as the later type but I don’t have one to hand to be certain.

Mike
