The 'Maverick' Classic Porsche Forum and Classic Porsche Club for Porsche 356, Aircooled Porsche 911, Porsche 912, Porsche 914 & Porsche Replicas. 'We join for the cars but stay for the people'
We including the pocket rocket 356 made it there and back and the 30 minutes of lap time, its an amazing circuit compared to any others I have driven. Slight problem with the dynamo which did not like the lights on full and wipers on constantly for the 3 1/2 hours down to the tunnel. Quick battery change from another car back on the road. Replaced my battery on Thursday night when we arrived its been fine every since. Plan to talk with PRS about an alternator conversion. I think I have a alternator stand some where
So many highlights for the weekend. We were camping at the Bentley curves. Friday night the full contingent of race 911/ 904 came off the circuit and ran past out tent. Then Saturday morning Porsche experience did the same including Rod Emory's 1st Le Mans winning 356, they even gave us the Thumbs up!
Fantastic achievement Greg on getting your wonderful car rebuilt and both to & from CLM - I wouldn’t have believed it when I last saw it in the ‘shop at LA Custom. Epic stuff.
If you ever fancy a run out with another local 356 then just give me a shout.
You can buy a 6v alternator that fits on the normal stand. However, if you change to LED headlights and have your generator rebuilt it should be ok

Summer vacation over and now refreshed and keen to get the car ready for Classic at the Castle.
Garry at Classic FX as now finished the door cards and dash top. When I get the dash top installed I can then fit the door seals which will be great. Couple of pics that Garry just sent over;
