Classic Le Mans 2023 with DDK - BOOKING DETAILS 29th June - 2nd July

Post by hot66 »

2023 Classic Le Mans ..... celebrate the centenary of the Le Mans 24 Hours

As usual DDK will be there and this time its the big one to celebrate the centenary of the Le Mans 24 Hours.

If you want to join DDK on a gated secure campsite with all the luxuries of clean toilets and showers , a restaurant and bar + a trackside beer garden and of course trackside viewing area along the campsite perimeter then please see the following details on how to book.

For 2023 we are going to be based at "Village on the Curves' , located on the inside of Porsche Curves. Having done the 'general camping ' in the past, the step up to a secure private site is well worth the extra cost and being trackside is fantastic . Nothing like waking up to the sound of classic racecars at full chat

Currently we have enough space for 40 cars & tents although we might be able to increase this .

The DDK package includes the following :

General Admission tickets + Paddock passes
7m x 3m camping plot per car ( although we are not marking the ddk area out so we can arrange the area as we want )
Superb trackside viewing on the iconic Porsche Curves
Secure fenced site with 24hr English speaking security
Lycian representatives available throughout the weekend

Marquee with wide screen televisions
Exclusive dining at our own Café Virage
Exclusive use of Village by participants and guests
Cash bar with draught beers
Private serviced toilets and hot shower facilities
( Free shuttle bus operating to different parts of the circuit - to confirm)

Prices now confirmed :

1 car , 1 person, 1 tent , 1 admission ticket + 1 paddock pass : £582

1 car , 2 person, 1 or 2 tents , 2 admission ticket + 2 paddock pass : £972 ( £486 pp )

To book your place on the DDK site , please phone Shannon or Maisy on 01245 806264

Quote booking ref : B00692 ( james charnley )

deposit of £150 / person is required

Seperate to the above , you will need to book the following indepedantly :

Car parking at Arnage / Mulsanne if you need it ( appears to only be needed for Saturday and Sunday )

https://ticket.lemansclassic.com/select ... cking=true

Grandstands ( not really needed as we have our own viewing area at the site )
Travel .... book your own travel routes etc but we can start seperate threads on this so people travel together. Usuall some of us make a trip of it and stay at a hotel on the way down and back

Walking access to the circuit is only about a 10minute walk … the dropped pin on the map is where we access the circuit

Perhaps I missed it, but I looked at the Lycian website and the same prices include return ferry crossings - is that the case here?

They do offer a package including ferry / tunnel but it is more money ( web site has £595 per person which I've been told will actually be higher when booking direct as they havnt included theri 2023 % increase yet ) .

I asked for prices for just the event as trying to manage 30 - 40 ddkers travel plans on top of the camping etc is something I didnt want to get involved with ( I do all this out of love 8) )

For us they can add a ferry crossing to the pacakge at extra cost and it could be a cheaper way of doing it. If you speak to Shannon and explain what youre after I'm sure she will sort you out.

Looking forward to this again…I’m driving down to Dover on the Wednesday, early ferry on the Thursday morning then the long drive down to LM .I’m booked on with my local TIPEC group. We usually have a big stand near Tetre Rouge.

Hoping to drive down in a new to me 3.2 Carrera that I’ve just purchased, so although I’ve been to Classic LM twice before in a couple of other Porsches it will be the first time in an aircooled so I need to get a few miles down beforehand to be sure we get safely there and back.

Anyone doing the track laps?

Do you keep the cars where you camp or have a club stand as I didn’t notice a DDK clubstand last year ?

These days we are mostly parked at the campsite as its an easy walk in to the circuit. Historically we always have a friday morning DDK drive & meet at Mulsanne car park and then a stroll down to the corner to watch some of the qualifying
